Areas and aspects??

Hi,its me (again) :blush:
I am confusing myself, I have no problems doing observations, evaluations and next step planning but I'm a little confused now as to linking it to the 6 areas of development, somebody has told me that I need to link it to the areas or aspects within the six area`s and also the age bracket, so does that mean I have to write `links to PSED - areas and aspects= behaviour and self control 8-20months, responds to a small number of boundaries, with encouragement and support` or can I just write `PSED 4 behaviour & self control;
I just dont want to make more work for myself by spending ages writing pages if not needed, if that makes any sense?

I have made up codes so I use PSED 1, PSED 2, CLL 4 etc.

Then I just write the observation.

Alternatively your obs form can have all the aspects already typed on it so you tick them.

Then you refer them back, by date, to the child's Eyfs learning and development list for their age and stage.

A child might be working to 2 of 3 ages and stages at the same time, so keep an eye on that one!
