just a quick question pls - i am still buying relevant equipment etc and have had an enquiry from parent of a 3 year old who ocassionally still likes afternoon nap - travel cots seem to be for younger ones or those who arent standing etc
I saw a nursery once who put individual mattresses on floor but we have wooden flooring and this doesnt seem quite right
any suggestions as to where I can buy something appropriate?
many thanks

I have a bed settee and they snuggle down on that once they are past the travel cot stage.

I know minders who use exercise mats - they can be covered with a fresh sheet each day and are wipe clean in case of accidents.

Just check for drafts if the child is sleeping on the floor :D

I use to work in a nursery and we used to have 20+ go to sleep in a morning and 30+ go to bed on an afternoon. all using the mats it didnt seem to effect the children from sleep or some staff.

Ive seen a children's chair that folds out to a bed on amazon for around £40.00 with free delivery. they look comfyer than the mats.

I use the bed in one of my bedrooms and put down a blanket for them to lie on on top of my bedding.

How about self inflatable sleeping mats from Argos or a camping shop. I am sure I saw something similar in Tesco the other day too, that were rolled up
