Hi - I'm STILL pre-reg (oooh, can't let that one go lol)...and I'm wondering what courses I can sign up for.

I've just completed a free KCC Safeguarding/Child Protection course which was very interesting (especially about Lauren White) and I'm keen to learn as much as I can.

I heard that you can do a course on Observations, but not sure.

Wondered if anyone could give some advice?

Hi Maria. I'm in Kent too and we get a mail out of all the courses from the NCMA every once in a while, I think it's about every term. The next mailout won't be until September as they don't tend to run courses in the holidays. I'd suggest the best way forward would to be phone up the NCMA and ask what the availability is on courses in your area - you may be able to get yourself down on a waiting list even if they're fully booked.

once your fully registered your getting mailing every few months with all course details that will be on ofer - you fill out forms etc for ones you want to do and send back then your get your letter stating if on course and where (som have more tha 1 vennue to choose from)

you could google free childcare course for your area and see what happens
hope that helps
