A quick question

Hi everyone I have my first parents coming to visit on Wednesday morning :eek: they have a 3 month old but don't need care until august so she'll be 5 months.

I just wondered can i take a deposit before signing contracts? They won't have arrived by then.

And if they don't need care until August should it be a deposit or retainer as I'm still a bit fuzzy about the difference lol.

Not sure if what I do is right but I'd get contracts signed to start in Aug and take a deposit (ask them to come back). Or could you take a deposit and give them a receipt. Good luck x

Hhmm not sure about any of this, haven't even thought about it yet!! LOL!!

Is the deposit an amount which will come out of what you are going to be charging when you start CM so they would get the money back?

Is a retainer a smaller amount which is given to you to keep the space for the child for the dates they state they need a CM? This amount they don't get back?

Not sure if this is correct, but just wanted to post and find out!! LOL!!
