Hi,

I received my certificate in May but so far I don't have any children to mind. I was made redundant in January, so have been redeiving JSA since then. I just wanted to know if I can carry on receiving it until I have children here to mind? Not sure how it works when you are self employed?

you are entitled to benefit until you actually start working.

you may be entitled to a grant (dont pay it back) to help you get started and a top up of £40 perweek for a year once you have started working.
