would this count as an obs?

Hi

I'm struggling with Obs, I know why we do them but I am struggling with where to put them under eyfs and whether they count as obs iyswim?

basically, I observed a child today 30 months old. They were playing in the garden and crawling through the tunnel. Then they were kicking a ball round and then realised that if they kicked the ball through the tunnel it would come out the other side.

Would you say this can go in his obs folder and what would it be under under eyfs?

What a lovely observation!

The child worked something out, presumably it's the first time you have seen him doing this too.

Perhaps next session he might post the ball through a goal or into a box or basket in the corner to extend his interest.

I would link this to Physical Development and also to PSR&N as he solved a problem of how to get the ball through the tunnel.
