About the plane that went through the volcanic ash (this is a few years ago) about how badly the engines and fusilage - basically the whole plane was damaged.

i hope now that everyone who jumps on the bandwagon about the no fly ban being uncalled for will now shut up.

safety and peoples lives come first. i watched it with my 15 yr old son. normally he yaps away when the tv is on but he sat quietly watching only making comments when there was a break.

i watched this years ago - can't believe the amount of damage that was done, and how cool the pilot was!

hi i watched it its only when you see what could happen you realise how serious it could be so all those stranded and who missed there hols it really was for the best. can only imagine what that flight went through.

i am wondering if the authorities have caved into pressure from the airlines. because the conditions they have set places the onus firmly back on the airlines.

perhaps engineering has progressed on from when that documentary was made and planes and engines can cope with volcanic ash?

not sure I would be wanting to fly at the moment - or at least when the airlines were wanting to go back up a few days ago.
