My DD aged 9 has been given a capsule antibiotic and has found it too difficult to swallow, can I break it open and give it her on a spoon with a drink? or should I ask the doc for medicine which is also finds difficult to take

I am rubbish at swallowing tablets

I chew a bit of banana and put the tablet in before swallowing

Otherwise I would see if you can get liquid medication

I can't take tablets either. With capsules I twist them apart, empty the powder into my mouth, and then swallow it with a drink.
I can't swallow normal tablets without crunching them up first - yuk.

I cant swallow tablets either.

I was once given capsules by accident so i rang the pharmacist and he said that some capsules shouldnt be opened because the idea is that the dissolve in the stomach and so thats when the tablets start working.

Best thing to do would be to ask your doctor or pharmacist
