just realised as i was putting lil one to bed we havent yet put our stair rails back up from when we decorated...are these a necessity (sp)

At my pre-reg visit the OFSTED lady said I should get a hand rail fitted if I intend to use the upstairs of my house. She didn't say I had to but recommended it.

Ive never had one in this house and its never been mentioned at any inspections and Ive been minding for 20 years - Ofsted didnt mention it at all and gave me outstanding :thumbsup:

I have only ever had the one on the banister side - I have never been asked to put one on the other side & they have to go upstairs to the bathroom.

oooh thats good then i shant replace them then, think they were used to help prop up my neighbours fence anyway :laughing:
