Here i am reporting in with dry feet !!!:laughing:
What a night , the wind was horredous certainly rattled the windows!!! and the rain ..... well :eek: but at least we are not under water :clapping:
The houses closer to the beach front are awash, the tide was up to the top of the pier last night , but at least there has not been any serious damage , apart from my beautiful camellia that is , not a flower on it this morning :(
Its forcast high winds all day so not venturing out til school run later

One of my mums has just said that the tide is breeching the sea wall this morning , the playing fields and swings area at the opposite end from the pier is getting the worst this morning .
But it has stopped raining :thumbsup: So hopefuly things will calm down .

glad you made it through the night! :phew: Brought back memories.
My town was flooded in 2000, wouldn't want a repeat it was awful - 100s of houses and town centre shops under a few feet of water. We have a river running right through centre of town.
DH said we would be ok, (house on edge of estate, nearest road to river), then he put the sofa on the dining table - methinks he was not so sure!! :laughing: I stayed at a friends house a few roads up as kids were young and with high tide it could have got us. Luckily it was not as high as expected and water stopped at the bottom of our garden.

Glad you are okay - you mentioned doing the school run. Our school broke up last Friday and I have been rushed off my feet since . I hope you can get out and about without too much trouble. When we were flooded we were advised to stay at home and only go out to check on our neighbours, elderly etc...
