We always do homemade chips - sometimes my hubby makes them for a snack while we watch tv in the evening. Perfect!

Do you have a fryer? If so which ones a good one?
I'd love one but am scared that I'd use it everyday!

I love homemade chips, but never seem to have much success with them :( they either turn out soggy, or cooked to perfection on the outside and raw on the inside!!! any tips :thumbsup:
my hubby makes the best homemade chips goin ... if it gets out we are having chips for dinner end up with a house full. sons friends , neice 2 great neice's my sister and hubby... so have to keep it quite ... but in summer we cant have a bar b que without his chips ..... omg im drooling now...:laughing: :laughing: bread and butter ( best Butter ) ...

Chop them, dry them in tea towel and then fry in deep fat fryer!!:(

he said he does exactly the same only other thing is your fat make sure its fresh not that yours isnt.. ( hes for ever changing ours) he uses crisp n dry block fat...

Thanks Babs, to be honest my oil needs changing :blush: , I hate doing it, I always make a mess!!! Maybe thats my problem, will give it a go!!!:thumbsup:
