Hi,

I have got my pre-reg on tuesday. Now, Jamie has got a temperature of 40-41 C since 3 days and is very poorly, doesn´t sleep and can´t leave him for a second. we can´t get anything done, he also suffers from febrile convulsions so i have to keep a close eye on him all the time.
has anyone ever cancelled their pre-reg to get a different date? There´s no way that i can get everything done now as he´s still very ill.

it´s a nightmare - i was getting so organised with all paperwork and now this :(

Ring them and explain I'm pretty sure they will rearrange for you :)

Im sure they will re-arrange if you call them to explain. The ofsted inspector who came to me cancelled my pre reg visit several times due to bad weather and complaints made against minders she had to deal with immediately.

Thank you both :) He is still so poorly, waking every 3 hours at night because he´s burning up.. only with the help of Nurofen and Paractamol are we getting any sleep and we are not used to it as he sleeps 12h a night since he was 4 months old  (he´s 16 months now)..

I am just scared that i will look unprofessional but I guess as they always emphasize on putting the children´s needs first - that will count for our own then too.

will ring them tomorrow morning :)

thank you
Kimmy

well i called Ofsted now and the lady said she´ll email the inspector to rearrange with me. she didn´t sound too happy about it though:(
I have to take Jamie to the doctor today as he still has got a very high temperature. how i could possibly have an inspection with him being that ill - I don´t know. when they are older it´s probably easier but he´s only 16 months and when poorly needs his mummy :p

Thank you both! The inspector called back and she was lovely about it and said it´s not a problem *phew*
She´s coming next tuesday at 2.30 pm and I honestly can´t wait now :D
