Start Up Grant - Market Research

Hi there. I am applying for a start up grant and am told I need to produce some market research. Has anyone else done this?

I've been told to devise a questionaire to send to local schools saying things like "Do childminders work from the school?". Well, thats just one question and is hardly a questionaire is it? What else do I ask?
And what if they say no LOL! Or refuse to answer it. I'm sure the schools have plenty to do without answering my questionaire. I really don't want to make a nuisance of myslef if I could be working with these schools eventually. help!!!

is the services was available would it be needed/used??

How many parents would use the service etc etc

I have just been approved £500 funding all i had to do was write a bussiness plan(basic)
