I'm starting to get the hang of the old observations but I really struggle knowing what to put things under so can you help me on the following for a 14 month old :-
1. Stirring up brownies for mothers day
2. Driving a sit in car for the first time but backwards only
3. Playing with dry pasta
I really appreciate your help as ever!

1. Stirring up brownies for mothers day

Stirring is linked to Physical development; if the child did the weighing and measuring that's PSR&n; if s/he was involved in taking turns that's PSED.

Actually cooking relates to all 6 areas

2. Driving a sit in car for the first time but backwards only

Backwards is the usual first direction!

It relates to Physical development - using gross motor muscles

Also to directions which comes under Psr&N

3. Playing with dry pasta

The child is exploring the environment which is probably Kuw with a bit of CD thrown in.

I really appreciate your help as ever!

Have a good read through the ages and stages info for the child in the guidance document for the Eyfs.

it will gives you lots of tips about linking things and ways to move the child onwards :D
