Hi

When you do your plans for the child do you do them weekly or monthly. Some of the ladies who childmind do it monthly, some weekly. But is monthly enough to satisfy Ofsted.

Depends on the ages of the children and how many you have. I plan each day on the interests of my 18 month old, e.g this week we will go to softplay, CM group and visit some playgrounds (if dry), then in the house, get the playdough out, water play, sand play, bubble machine and anything else that he wants to do.
Planning is more involved when the children are a bit older 2.5yrs onwards, then you just plan for each individual child (their interest) and then maybe have one or two adult lead activity, such as gloop or cooking.
It's whatever works for you. :)

I do a yearly plan which I then brake down into a quarterly plan, & then I break this down again into a monthly plan.

Ontop of that, I then do individual planning on a daily basis for all the children I have in the 0-2yrs age group.
