Had a visit from my EYFS advisor last week and she said that the easiest form of planning she had come across was a spidergram plan with the 6 areas of learning around it.
She mentioned that there was a copy on the EYFS disk and I have searched and searched and found nothing!
Do any of you use it? Am I being really thick and just not seeing it??

I like them too!

You can make a simple one... just put a sheet into landscape and add 8 boxes... 6 for the 6 areas of learning and development, 1 for a title across the top and 1 for a date.

I have a A4 pad and write by hand interest in the middle and areas around it with the activity, it is quicker and easier for me to write it then it goes straight into childs folder and activity gets highlighed when weve done it.

I may have one in my forms - I had a quick look in my blank forms but its not there - I know I have a hard copy of one but can't remember where I got it from - will have a better search later I may have a completed one in my planning stuff - if so I will blank it out and let you have a copy.

I have also added a box on mine for adding parents activities or interests based on their obs at home. This also is a good way of showing WORKING in partnership with parents xx

I just use an A4 sheet, draw around a cup in the middle of the sheet, add 6 "legs" and hand write everything.
I find it quick and easy to do. Don't make things hard for yourself-that's my motto!!
