use finger prints to make petals on a flower and then put a pic of child in the middle. then laminate i have done this before and parents love it

I've done flowers using hand print petals and footprint leaves with child's picture in the middle, they look really cute;)

last year we did the handprinting with poem about little hands as a nice keepsake for mum we did these in different colours and then laminated them. they looked really good. the older kids got fed up with cards as they do them at school and pre-school so these were something different and the younger ones could also join in.

Fingerpaint a paper plate, then cut a trianlge out of it, and staple the large part into a cone shape, line with pretty tissue paper shreds (kids can do this iwth hands or scissors, , cut a curved strip from the smaller section of plate you cut before and staple as a handle, and fill the basket with sweets you bought or little biscuits or truffles or cakes the children helped make.

Cards with 2 hand prints as flowers, a green lolly pop stick as a stem, then I cut a piece of brown sugar paper shaped as a flower pot. I used to hand write the cards for the lo but decided this time to type up a verse and stick it into the card. I am very pleased with the results.
