Fair Rate - Babysitting

arrgghh whats a fair rate for babysitting?

no idea what the going rate is around here and i have been asked if i would babysit.
£7.00 ph before midnight? (thats just about double the rate for minding:rolleyes: )
£10.00ph after midnight?

Well as you are a pro, I guess you should be charging a bit more than a teenager.:thumbsup:

We pay ours £10 an evening, 2 kids 7 and 10 for 2 hours babysitting. she's 16.(her mum, dd2's TA, lives opposite:thumbsup: )

I get £10ph from mindees mum but they don't stay out after 11pm. That is how much they paid me on first night and I never questioned it, better for me actually as it's an extra treat for me once a month and hubby does all the work as she prefers him on evenings.

I would have charged them at least £7 for me, minimum £20.I don't go ut for less!

My rate is £8 PH minimum of 4 hours charged, again a little more experience than the average babysitter, been babysitting for over 20 years!:)

£10 after midnight
DD 18yrs does £4.50 per hr and taxi paid home now as muggins was collecting her at 1am!
