I keep getting calls on my landline from international unavailable numbers for Mr Johnson (they vary from Mr and Mrs to Mrs or just Mr) I am getting these every single day up to 3 times and its driving me nuts

How can I stop them? I am registered with TPS and am ex-directory!!

Don't answer them in the first place. Once they get a 'hook' they will harress you even more!

Contact the police and they should be able to take care of nuisance calls and trace them back, even if they are international.

I used to get these too

What I did was answered the phone and pretend I couldn't hear them "hello...helloo is anyone there!!"

Then I pretended I was talking to someone in the room with me and said "do you know, I am getting really fed up of not being able to hear people when they phone me. It has been like this ever since we got the police to put the call trace on the phone line!"
The person who had called went on to say lots of swear words down the phone to me (obviously expecting to get a reaction  ) but I did not react, just kept on saying "hello, is anyone there"
He put the phone down and they have never called since!! :clapping:

We've got caller display and if it says 'International' we don't answer or just pick it up and put in on the side and let them rabbit away.

Since doing this they have definitely got less.
