My cat passed away today

One of my 15 year old cats died today after a long illness. Boxer had been suffering from hyperthyroidism for over a year and had never stabilised, he took a turn for the worse at the beginning of the week so we were pretty prepared for it. I have a suspicion that there was something else going on with his health but the vet seemed to know better and who are we to question. My other cat Barney, Boxers brother has been howling around the house looking for his brother, it's heartbreaking to listen to but we know it was for the best and now he is no longer suffering

I'm sorry to hear that but at least he's free from pain now and 15 is a very good age.
We had to put my cat Rosie to sleep a couple of weeks ago - she was 19.
Her brother has been howling around the house looking for her , it's so sad isn't it ?

Her daughter 15 didn't bat an eyelid though.

I am a cat lover and it is awful when you lose them, they become family members and you have to greive for them. Sending you a hug.

So sorry to hear about your cat,just remember he had fifteen good years and was very loved. We had to have our cat put to sleep afew weeks ago because he had a tumour he was fourteen earlier in the year one of our other cats died aged twenty three the only thing that i keep thinking is that they had good lives.
