Hi Ladies
One of my parents new partner has asked for my advice on becoming a childminder.
Having been minding for 12 years I have been able to tell her the pros and cons but I am unsure as to where she needs to make the first port of call.
Its a long time since I registered and I know that it is now a longer process so where should she start.
She has worked in a nursery before she had her baby and is now wanting to work in childcare but from home. Whats your advice. :)

Thanx in advance Nemo97

I think the first port of call is your local Family Information Service.

Yes that is correct she has to book on a briefing session first, where she will be given all the information she needs and the application packs. She will have to order the EYFS pack seperately from teachernet web site.

It is a long process. Hopefully worth it tho! It does weed out the people who are commited and those who are not!
