No water

There has been a leak near me since xmas, finally last friday digging started but they can't find where its coming from there are holes in all directions. About 10am a man asked if my water was off, I said it was and he said we didnt mean to turn yours off but its still not back and they keep asking every so often if its back. I want to put my washing machine on plus my kettle is now empty so am waiting for friend to come back from shopping so I can have a cuppa, dont fancy the water from tank even if it is boiled.

In would get in touch with your local water provider now - and make sure they know you are running a business and are without water. They will need to make sure you have enough for the evening if it is not turned back on. Dont leave it until later this evening - it happened to us with our gas and electricity and they were unable to make provisions for us as we did not inform them in time. And they should compensate you if it goes on for long enough too!
