i won an item off ebay about 5 nights ago - for £102 plus £14 postage - paid straight away.
The seller sent me an e-mail tonight in very broken english that i could pay £150 for it or not have it.  sent him a few very strongly worded e-mails about his fraud and have demanded my money back - he's told me that he can't get into his paypal accout - give him my bank details and he'll transfer it directly - do i honestly look that stupid!

i know i'll get it back eventually but i am so angry.

Oh my god you poor thing. I understand exactly how mad you are feeling I've had a couple of incidents on ebay lately. Yesterday I had a nintendo DS arrive that i bought on there, bought it second hand for mindees - doesnt work. Seller wont answer emails. Im gutted and so mad
Can paypal help? they have helped me in the past.

i am sure i will get my money back eventually - but i really wanted this item quickly and now i will have to wait until i get the money back before i can bid on another item. :(
i have e-mailed ebay and paypal - filed a paypal dispute and they've given me 20 days to solve it with the seller before i can claim my money back.

must admit i got stroppy with the seller, told him its theft and unless he sends it out tomorrow or refunds tonight i'll contact the police.

As an ex banker, please be careful when giving out your bank details. May be worth checking your account over the next couple of weeks just in case. Don't want to scare you, but best not to give out your sort code and account number in the future.

caroline you must have misread my post - he asked me for my bank details to refund the payment and I refused - i have told him a refund via paypal or not at all.
i was really hesitant to give my bank details to mindees parents for payments and i know where they live!

My hubby hs just said that you should put bad feedback on his account and say exactly why. It will hopefully prevent him from doing it to someone else.
