My dad passed away from pancreatic cancer last year and thought it would be a good way to remember him!

What have I done . . . .

Have always wanted to do this but never been brave enough - good for you! :clapping: Good luck - I hope it goes well.

I like running but am not very good at it and pick it up and drop it depending on how busy I am - you've probably got something like this but I've got a running plan for 5k if you want it, best one I've ever found that always gets me back into it after a break, will get you running for 35 mins in 6 weeks, might help? Let me know if you would like it and I'll post it up here.

Here you go - 5k training plan. If you need to you can add another session - say you find jump from 5min to 7 min hard but try to push through it and not add loads of sessions - it does work if you stick to it and don't go crazy and run every day. Enjoy!!

Week 1 Session 1: Run 2 mins, walk 3 minsX3 (15 mins) Sess 2: Run 2 mins, walk 3 minsX3 (15 mins) Sess 3: Run 2 mins, walk 3 minsX3 (15 mins)
Week 2 Sess 1: Run 2 mins, walk 3 minsX4 (20 mins) Sess 2: Run 3 mins, walk 2 minsX4 (20 mins) Sess 3: Run 3 mins, walk 2 minsX4 (20 mins)
Week 3 Sess 1: Run 4 mins, walk 3 minsX3 (21 mins) Sess 2: Run 4 mins, walk 3 minsX3 (21 mins) Sess 3: Run 5 mins, walk 2 minsX3 (21 mins)
Week 4 Sess 1: Run 7 mins, walk 1 minX3 (24 mins) Sess 2: Run 7 mins, walk 1 minX3 (24 mins) Sess 3: Run 8 mins, walk 1 minX3 (27 mins)
Week 5 Sess 1: Run 13 mins, walk 2 minsX2 (30 mins) Sess 2: Run 13 mins, walk 2 minsX2 (30 mins) Sess 3: Run 13 mins, walk 2 minsX2 (30 mins)
Week 6 Sess 1: Run 35 mins, with 2 mins walking at 17mins (35 mins) Sess 2: Run 35 mins, with 1 min walking at 17mins (35 mins) Sess 3: Run 35 mins (35 mins)

I am going to be walking mine, I am quite a fast walker and find it easier than jogging or running. My personal trainer had me jogging up and down a steep hill for 18 mins the other week, I thought I was going to collapse, followed by a half hour workout inside.
