Who else is waiting for their CRB check?

I'm fed up waiting. :( I have a mindee lined up ready to start and the CRB is holding things up.

The form was sent on 24th December but they didn't start to process it till the 6th January. When I first called to track the progress I was told it was likely to be four weeks, it is over that now.

Who else is waiting? When was yours sent?

Mine was sent on the 8th of Jan and am still waiting

mine was sent dec 1st got my certificate through Saturday apparently they're speeding process up xx

Someone I met on a course had her sent the day before mine, 23rd December and hers was complete over a week ago yet I'm still waiting.

Mine was sent off in sept and I only got it back fri 5th feb... I was getting so fed up and gave them a piece of my mind when I phoned them at the end of Jan, they promised to pass it on to the case management team who deal with crbs that have taken more than 4 weeks to complete, and surprise surprise they finally got it sorted.. So if yours has taken longer than 4 weeks ask them to pass it on to the case management team and see if that gets them moving! Good luck Naomiesian xx

I phoned them earlier today, they said there is nothing they can do till 56 days after they receive it.

Find out where it is ie police area and phone direct and ask for disclosures and that you are just chasing it up.......worked for me and did it there and then. good luck cx

I'm still waiting for mine too! Had my inspection on 7th December, the CRBs were only sent in for processing on 15th December, and I'm still waiting! :(

I sent mine off 19th dec and im still waiting my hubbys was back within a week I just dont understand why it takes so long :panic:

I might try and call them as mine has been nearly 6 weeks now

Just rang them and they are still waiting for 1 search and they said they cant chase it yet but will start proceedings in a few days

I've been tracking them daily. DHs was sent out two days ago, mine still isn't complete. :(

update for me:
I stopped tracking them cos nothing seemed to change - then mine and OH's popped through thedoor on monday!! :jump for joy:
so now I'm just waiting for my certificate!

Mine was sent mid jan, i phoned ofsted the other day they tracked it and said it was sent out on the 17th, so any day now, he said should have cert by next week..
Dont know if it makes a diff but i have had around 5crb's before x

Hi, My pre-reg visit was 20th Jan and i am registered already.
I rang my local police and told them i was desperate for my crb to be done as i had mindee's lined up and they did it the same day:thumbsup:
Worth a try, you have nothing to lose!

Update I rang up the police station my check was stuck at and was told they have 60days and only recieved it 7th jan so it should be done by 29th march at the latest. Its so annoying they just hang onto it and dont realise its our future thier holding up :panic: :panic:

it is many moons since i was worrying about my crb but it took 22 days to get posted to me ......

it was processed and marked as despatched and it just never arrived.

they wouldn't do anything about reprinting it until 14 days had lapsed and then when I got that done, the first one arrived a few days later. The second one arrived about 3 days after the first.

it is so frustrating, but remember that it will come thorugh in the end and you will get registered.

They will ask you a few security questions then tell you what stage it is at. Ask them to give you tyou're tracking reference then you can do it yourself online.

PLease dont say that, mine was dispatched 17th, but still not here, strting to get worried now as i have a mindee ment to be starting 29th march, ofsted man told me i would have crb and rgistration by the end of the week, its only monday but im worried now
