hi all first post im after some help .... prob being a little thick!!

i have my pre reg inspection wednesday .. i have most of the paper work in order and have some plans of activiites etc done but i have a question over storage of medicines and cleaning products.

Where do you keep them? obviously atm i have medicines in a top cupboard in the kitchen and the cleaning items are under the sink with a safety clip on the door ..... what do ofsted expect of you where this is concerned?

thanks in advance emma

I do exactly the same as you. I think as long as children can't reach/access them you'll be fine.
You need to keep stuff in the bathroom out of the way too - such as shampoo's and toothpaste ect. Ofsted pulled me up on this as I kept stuff on side of bath/window ledge where they could be reached by children.

I have all my cleaning products and medicines in my top cupboards where they cannot be reached.

In my bathroom, the cleaning products are also put up, and all shampoos etc are put on shelves out of reach

Let us know how you get on x

I had to move my cleaning stuff to a top cupboard even though I had catch on the one under the sink. I am under CC and not Ofsted so might be different or might have just been my CCO being picky

I was told by my pre reg inspedctor than no cleaning products were allowed under my sink so put shelving up in the garage. You cant have any toilet brushes or any cleaners. you can have plug in air freshners or any toiletries at child height

Good luck with your pre reg
