I'd have loved to have prom at school.

They didn't bring it in till 4 years after I left:mad:

i go to a fundraising ball each april and have got all my frocks in tk maxx for around £40.
Cant wait to see a photo of dds dress! My ds has his prom in june but not nearly so exciting for boys! Although im currently trying to persuade him to wear a kilt. :)

A company came to dd school - watters and watters

http://www.watters.com/catalog_list.php?coll=watters

If you bought on the night from stock it was £50, or they could order it in, dd's was £260 full price:eek: but got it for £50.

We also tried here

http://www.glitz.org.uk/

and TK Maxx, monsoon and debenhams, but she didn't fancy a chain store incase anyone had same dress.

It's very exciting. Prom not till June either but it can take 16 weeks to order.

I remember my DD's prom and going for her fittings etc. she had it especially made and cost me a small fortune by the time she got the accessories and had her hair done. She did look stunning:)

Here it is!

Only she has chosen black with a cerise pink ribbon.

You cant see the back very well, but it has a small train like bit and it has 3 ruffles there, lovely.

Lovely dresses, but it does not stop there does it. You have the hair, the make up the nails and the jewllery, the bag and the shoes and the wrap. Of course you have to have a re run of the hair and make up before hand. Oh and dont forget the special strapless bra. :panic:

Then there is hiring transport and just whoes house do you go from. Then there is the after party and the party after the after party. Just how do you get there and back.

But they all always look stunning, im just so GLAD that i dont have to do it all again this year.
