Hello and welcome to the forum! :D

Continuous provision (CP) is just one way of showing how your activities meet the requirements of the Eyfs.

CP sheets are useful for referring back to when you are planning and observing children as they give you ideas about what you can write.

However, they are hard work to put together and time consuming to start with... though they can save time in the long run.

You would start with the activity and then link it to each of the 6 areas of learning and development.

You might also link it to the Principles of the Eyfs if you wanted to but that's showing off a bit

CP is not compulsory for those readers who are panicking right now!

It's just one way some people choose to show how the Eyfs works for them.

Hth :D
