Hello all
apologies if this is a question which has been asked lots before - but have a parent who's said they'd like me to look after LO and not sure how to work this.
parent wants a space but can't afford a retainer (which I ask to hold a place)- space is to start possibly end of march and is for a baby. We left it that they'd like place but I'd let them know if I had any other calls about it.
so - when do you sign contracts in cases like this?
do I sign contracts asap and charge a deposit - saying non refundable if child doesn't start BUT risk if they don't start and I've turned down other work (IYSWIM?)
or....
hold off signing contracts until nearer the start time?
I'm useless with contracts and get really stuck - think I'm confusing myself a bit!
