My Nan

:( My Nan died this afternoon. She was 101 years old. It was a blessing as for about 4 years she has hardly been able to recognise any of us and for the strong, wonderful, independant lady that she was it was terrible:( . She is in a much better place now:) . Her sister who she lived with in Canada for a while died last week so I know that they are together again.

I feel sadness and relief all mixed together. Got to go to Kent next week for her funeral, not sure when yet.

sending you our love .....what a wonderful age to have reached but so sad that she hasn't really recognised you over recent years. My own mother is 92yrs and I am only too aware that she is becoming increasingly confused and forgetful..... I understand the feelings of relief and sadness you have as I have mixed feelings already in anticipation of the event that will surely come. I am sure that being reunited with her sister must bring you comfort.
