It's my Dad's 50th birthday next Sunday and were planning a suprise party for him next Saturday.
He hasn't got a clue. I've phoned all his work friends and old friends from school and they are all coming.
On the night i'm doing my dad a "this is your life"
I've got a big red book and have filled it full of past and present photographs and wrote all about him.
On the night I will stand up and give a speech all about my dad.
Hope he likes it!!!:D

Your dad is 50! You must be way younger than me then - I am heading that way myself :laughing:
Sounds a brilliant idea and I am sure he will love it.
When my dad retired we did a surprise party - got lots of his old buddies and family together, old work mates, church friends, people he used to play football locally with :laughing:
It was a great get together for us all too as the family has become far flung - his 'little' brother even came over from New Zealand :clapping:
He loved it, even though he had always said he didn't want a fuss - his smile said it all.

God, i suddenly feel old - my dad is 78 this year and i am 44 this time round!!!!!! It's lovely that you are planning things for him though

When I am 50 my kids will be nearly 21 and just 18 - We will be broke :laughing: Only 5 years to go :blush:
Can't see then doing me a party :rolleyes:

We gave my mum a surprise 60th on 18th dec, she was overwhelmed !, she didnt have a clue.

What a great idea, sounds lovely, I'm sure your Dad will be thrilled. I would have been chuffed with that for my 50th. SEVEN years ago! :eek:

my husband is 50 in may so i am trying to think of something nice to do for him.. (i'm 23 so not got much experience when it comes to 50th bday parties! :blush: )
