View Full Version : new cashbook for every financial year?

hi guys, im just wondering what people do regarding their cashbooks.

i only started minding in august, so half way through the financial year, so do i finish using this book at the end of march and begin a new one april 2010? thanks lesley xx

I would then you have each tax year figures in one easy to find place. The last week that goes into my book is basically the last week in march and I start the new year from april.

That is what the tax man suggested when I went on a course.

My NCMA attendence register & accounts book gets filed with my tax paperwork (& I put stickers on the front ie 2009 /2010). New ones every April - so that they run from April & end in march & start the next one in April - IYSWIM) Basically they run tax year to tax year - makes life much easier:thumbsup:

Definitely a new one each year - I'd be totally confuzzled otherwise! :laughing:

I find it easier to start afresh from the new tax year. Gives me a cut off point to work towards.

Me too - if the IR audit you it needs to be clear
