I have been doing my planning for my Winter theme this month. I just thought I would share my ideas with you.

Most are copied and pasted from sites. They are mostly aimed at a younger age as I only have an 18 mth old at the moment.

Hope they help!!

What about teaching them to grit and salt icy/snowy surfaces - a useful life skill.

Thanks for this Helen. You don't know how helpful this will be tomorrow.

I decided my theme for January will be Snow as we have some at the moment. :D We made paper snowflakes yesterday but I've just been trying to thing of other snow related activities whilst doing my children's packed lunches for tomorrow - then lo and behold I log on here and see your thread! :clapping:

I only have little ones apart from a 3 year old for 3 hours a week so some of the ideas will probably be okay for me to do with them.

Thanks again for sharing.

You have put me to shame I hardly do stuff like that with my 20mth old, he just doesn't seem to want to and I only have him for 5hours a day and he usually sleeps for 1 of that and we spend another 1 1/2 out and about on school/nursery runs. Will have to attempt something when he gets back.
