I am back to year 1 of my revolving 2 year plan - planning and activities are all done with a bit of tweaking because of age but I will look at that on Saturday when Xmas is packed away

We're doing birds for week one (National Bird Day is on 5th January), Snow for week two, still looking for things for week three (any ideas anyone?) and Australia for week 4 to celebrate Australia Day.

Does anyone know where I can get some of those disposable sick bowls from that they use in hospitals? You know the grey ones? I really need 6 so that we can turn them upside down, paint them brown and attach corks from thread to make Australian hats! I found someone selling some on ebay but they want £71 for 10!!! Wish I knew someone who worked in a hospital!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! XXX

i was going to do healthy eating ...

but the children loved having the igloo out so much before christmas, i decided to do 'homes' ... igloo, and we will build dens/houses etc.

i found some super stuff on sparkle box ... printer & laminator working overtime

got a couple of good books on homes around the world/throughout the ages from the library. going to build junk houses/towns, and from lego/duplo/wooden bricks. go for walks to look at different types of homes, and maybe go and visit somewhere different ... a bungalow or flat for example as all my mindees live in houses.

will fit in festivals etc as they occur.

having said that ... i suspect that we won't really do anything i have planned ( except to use the igloo as its there! ) and just do what we want to do as usual, following the childrens lead ! ;)

'Does anyone know where I can get some of those disposable sick bowls from that they use in hospitals? You know the grey ones?' have you tried asking your local surgery? or maybe school? xxx

I used a paper plate with the centre cut out upside down to fit on the head and then we put hole punches in the rim and corks through that on string.
