It's time to be thinking about next year's holiday and as all the in-laws live in South Wales and mil can't travel, we feel obliged to go there so they can see the children once a year.

For the last two years we've stayed at Parkdean holiday park in Porthcawl and although it's very nice and we would be happy to go back again, we're wondering if there's anywhere else nice that we could try for a change?

We like staying in caravans but would consider a chalet/cottage etc but it would be nice to have some facilities/amenties nearby for the children (2 x 12 year olds and a 2 year old).

Anyone got any suggestions please?

We've been to Tenby a few times and think it's lovely there. A few years ago we also stayed on the Gower peninsular (near Swansea) which was also very nice.

Thanks madsahatter, I probably should have been a bit more precise with the area!!

Mil lives near Neath so easy travelling distance of Swansea would be preferable.

Anyone else know of anywhere please?

The gower is near Swansea lots of lovely beaches and is an area of outstanding natural beauty. If in laws are happy to stay on site for a day you could drive to oakwood in Pembrokeshire (about an hour away) suitable for all ages (www.oakwoodthemepark.co.uk).

Also try www.ukparks.com to find a site that suits you.
