Bad day

Not working today, planned to do so much as I'm so far behind and my stupid car has decided to not allow any gear selection.

Gears have been a bit stiff lately had this checked out a couple of weeks ago told no problem with gear box or clutch so they just lubricated everything.

Just been told by garage that it sounds like a new clutch could be £600. Car is only worth £1200.

Something like this happens to us every Christmas. It seems to me that just a soon as we dig outselves out a financial hole we trip up and fall back in. I'll never be rich.

pain in bum

i hate garages .. most over price things.. i end up going to car part place (lcp, euro car parts, partco - dont know if they everywhere) ask them on price of what need then normally buy it and take it to garage so only pay labour and not the cost of item plus the extra they put on it

worked in 2 car garages so know most do this lol
