if you've already suffered an infection form one why on earth would you risk getting another one and one which will obviously be very big too

cos one on my foot was a tattoo party, not a tattoo parlour.

i've learnt by that mistake :D

My hubby used to be a tattooist and has quite a few. My favorite being his dog tags with our names and D.O.B on.
I would never have one as I made a promise to my Grandad, he had them in the war and hated them, but each to their own.
My hubby says make sure you put creme on your tattoo then you won't get an infection;)

Ink would come out because it wasn't put in properly. Put creme on it and wrap it in cling film. Keep it on for about 3 days but change it regular. Wipe ur tattoo, apply creme and wrap in cling film, this will stop it scabbing and prevent infection. xxx

sounds like a recipe

we asked him if we had to cover them and he said no, thought it was odd as all my others had been covered

Hubby says it's best to, stops infection and it scabbing. If it scabs when it comes off it takes some of the ink with it nd will leave it patchy. But I suppose it depends on the tattooist really.
Good luck with it, my hubby says he did this process with his and he never had a problem xxx
