Daily rates

Hi there,
Still on maternity leave but planning to go back to work beginning of February. Therefore, I'm just drafting a letter to the parents detailing new terms etc. One thing I wondered is whether you have daily rates and if so, how many hours is this for? My daily rate was for however long the child was with me for but I'm thinking of changing it to a maximum of 10 hours. What do you think?

My day rate is for 10 hours as I am willing to work from 8am-6pm. Be warned that parents will hold you to these hours if you state that it is a "day rate", some don't though but it does eliminate the over time charging as they are always here by 6.

I have a daily rate and yes they all do eventually do use the full day whether they need it or not it also works out less than my usual hourly rate.
