I'll be hibernating.

I mean talking about hibernation. Which will lead on to animals and their homes, then onto animal babies etc as spring rolls in.

Also usual new year stuff, and local celebrations. We'll look a bit at body parts too - mostly the bits that get cold without mittens/hats/boots etc lol.

We will be baking gingerbread men too - leads on nice to looking at body parts and is yummy to boot.

over the whole month i will do various things based on a winter theme, not sure what though cause havent got that far yet!!!, with any luck it will snow so can use that.
as for the after schoolers i just carry on the theme we are doing and base some simple crafts on it.
we also do things like, hamma beads, board games and i have lots of drawing stuff for them to help themselves too, playdough is another favorite and simple cooking ideas too like short bread or fairy cakes.

We will be doing the bird watch too, bird table right outside dining room window

Last year we tried to do it but on the day the birds stayed away

Moved house now so hopeful of a more interesting time - usually lots including woodpeckers
