Bargains at The Works!!

I went into my local The Works this morning to get my Dad a xmas pressie but they had loads of kids books for 49p!!!:eek:

Ones like Thats not my train/dolly/angel/puppy etc - all 49p!!

I got the Gruffalo and Room on The Broom in paperback and board book for 49p each!!

I also got some In The Night Garden ones plus some Spanish ones, WWE wrestling ones for my kids.

Some I am going to give to mindees for Christmas and some for my kids for stocking pressies.

I got LOADS of books and all for £14.:eek: The lady said they bought a bulk buy and are able to sell them off cheap. Some had Tesco labels on of about £3/4/5.

But I didnt get my Dad anything!!!:blush: :laughing:

Im at hospital tomorrow, which isnt that far from the town centre so if I finish in time I might have to pop in on the way past.

what a trip that was :( ... sent into town today to take back a jacket in primark .. luckily got one to replace it.. went to The Works but they didn't
have any of those books on offer at my one..:rolleyes: ..

Then...

went back to carpark where I realised I'd lost my car park ticket .. I'd STUPIDLY
put it in the front pocket of my Asda recyling bag and when I'd taken back the
jacket I'd dropped it.. they were going to charge me a full day of parking (NCP)
as I had no ticket.. and then just before I was gonna cry .. I said but look I've got 2 after school kids in my car so surely they are proof that I got here around 3.15pm? plus the car is obviously mine (in case he thought I was nicking it).. as how would I have 4 car seats in it otherwise.. please :o can I pay less... and then he said 'I'll just charge you £8'... phew!!!
