I can't believe i didnt have a meltdown but I had worked as hard as i could and decided that if i gave it my all and my all wasn't enough then I would admit defeat and give up :(
However it went really well and I got GOOD!
SSHHH though cause she said not to tell anyone till i receive it in the post!

I thought it was only outstanding where they said not to tell anyone until it was officially confirmed - are you sure you didn't get outstanding? :D

Well done!!! I am new to the forum and in the process of becoming a childminder too, so am glad I found your post! :clapping:
May be you could give me some advice as I have sent all the application form this week, did the training and my doc has also sent the health declaration form too, and I was wondering if you could tell me how long it's gonna take now to have my 1st meeting with ofsted as I have got people waiting for me to be registered so I can start childminding their little ones... ??? :littleangel:
Any help, advice, experience would be much appreciated!!! :panic:
thanks a lot.

I wish!
No she said the result is confidential until it had been checked and sometimes they go through 'spot' checks too. If the parents asked (which not one of them have incidently! ) then I could tell them it went well and i was allowed to disclose the result once i received my copy in the post (approx 2 weeks).
But as you can see I didnt listen to a word and told everyone i know and about 4,000 people I don't know too!

Hi Caroline
If you have a look in the "starting childminding and pre-registration" section you will find loads of help and advice from those just starting out.
