Yay all done for another few years!!

she was here for 2.5 hours!!! and she was lovely!!! i graded GOOD overall but i got outstanding in 3 areas!!! omg cant believe it!! how cool is that! cant remember which areas as i was to excited!

Wow thanks everyone :blush:

i was halfway through my SEF when i got "the call" last week. and she asked if i had done one. i explained i was half way through but had not uploaded it to the web site yet as i was afraid of loosing my hard work. she laughed and said thats fine i will read what you have done. I pushed myself to finish it before my inspection, and i feel it really payed off.

They are worth there weight in gold if its a true reflection of your setting and practices - i think it definatly helped with my grading. i was extremely nervous of the fact that my last grading was "GOOD" but not within the EYFS. it was 3 months before EYFS came into effect.

the new format for inspections is much more effective and so much more speedy, but i do think the SEF has a massive roll in inspection.

so if i give anyone who has an inspection due my advice is do your SEF asap. even if you do a basic one at first without putting it on their web site. You can add to it and tweak it until you are really happy with it. Then if you have time, up-load it to their web site. But if not make sure you print it for you inspection. They really do use it. My other tip is print the blooming thing in Draft it is a lot of paper and ink!!!! :idea: :clapping:
