Hi everyone, I attended my 1st Outs meeting last night and 1 of the things that was brought up was the things that we seem to be lacking on our inspections. Amongst them was the fact that when we're doing our Obs, assesments and planning was that Ofsted didnt have anything to compare the reports to as we didnt have an initial assesment of when the children started so they couldnt see if the child was working towards their goals.

After all that waffling my question is does anyone have a form for doing an initial observation on a child I could have a look at or know where i could download one from pretty please! :littleangel:

When I had my last new starter I say down with the EYFS folder.

I then went through every area and wrote down a few sentences about what she could do, from the list.

For Example: Personal, social and emotional development- J can indicate her own needs by pointing.

I wrote a few relevant points from each area.

Mrs O was fine with this.
