Hi All, just registered on here - great website! :D

I completed my ICP earlier in the year but didn't start minding as we have been moving house etc.

I'd like to start in January, have booked on a first aid course for next week, but I cannot for the life of me recall whether I am 'allowed' to begin minding BEFORE I have registered with Ofsted or not?!!

Could someone please answer this no doubt very simple question for me pleeeease?!

Thanks ever so, Elizabeth :)

You need to register with Ofsted before you can mind (You do not need to have completed the IC courses..you can have upto 6 months for that) But you need to be registered before minding any children..as need to do CRB checks

Oh and you can't register with Ofsted until you have completed the first aid course.I had pre reg visit from Ofsted in April and was was registered by June..

This is from what I remember with the whole pre reg stage...seems so long ago now
