I wasnt meant to be getting inspected :( I had told them that i was on maternity leave and not working but Dawn (who i co-childmind with) had asked if i could be present for her moral support. The Ofsted inspector said not a problem but i was to leave more or less EVERYTHING child related to Dawn.

I got up early, got a bit dressed up (as i was going shopping after) and got Ollie ready to go. Got to dawns for 8.45 and Ofsted turned up at 9.30am. She asked if i was working and I said no but she said if i was there with the kids then i was working and i would be inspected too. I WAS NOT ready! I hadnt prepared anything and had Oliver with me (if id have known i was being inspected then i would have left him with his gran) Anyway she left at 2.45pm and we have both been graded as satisfactory. Which i am happy with for my first inspection. They will be back in 3 years

They werent a scary as everyone makes out :P we had a laugh actually!

Sometimes having no notice can be a blessing - at least you didn't have the stress running up to the inspection ;)
