Hi

Im newly registered and Im struggling with observations can somebody please help me?

Im currently looking after a little boy who is 12 months,

This morning we have done bubbles which he was smiling and giggling at whilst trying to reach up and pop them.

We have also played with sme cars, whilst we where playing this I noticed he was pushing one whilst trying to making a noise similar to a car.

Are these ok for observations or are they to basic, also how would I explain them , link them to the eyfs and progress on them???

I think if I see an example of an observation they may make more sense to me ????

Thanks, Jenna x x x

They are lovely observations!

The first one shows he is trying to connect his hand and eye movements and coordination... his next steps might be more bubble play or using bubbles in a water tray perhaps.

The second one is imprinting maleness on him already  how quickly it happens!!

You could link it to KUW as he is building his understanding of the world around him and realising that sounds and movements go together.

His next steps are things like trains... anything with wheels.

Hope this helps :D
