Had an enquiry, two days a week for 3 year old to collect from nursery at 11.30 am and keep til 6pm, feed lunch and dinner.

I charge £50 per day for a part time place which includes any hours between 8 and 6 pm.

So do you think £35 for the 11.30 til 6 sounds fair?

where are you based! might move there:p . my full day rate based on 8 hours would only be £32 so it's hard for me to comment.

Depends if you can afford to offer a discount, I would say.

Im in North London, I know the daily rate is high but people round here are charging £5.50 to £6.50 per hour so I am not the most expensive

I charge £45 per day for full time and £50 for part time. I must say business is slow! But then everyone round here is saying the same thing. I did wonder about reducing my fees but then I got another child signed up and another coming next week who I think is going to sign too as they are bringing dad back for a final visit and to supposedly sign.

I have been thinking about it and I am going to say to mum I will charge £35 and then if she wants me to be on call during nursery hours I will suggest the daily rate. See how it goes down.

So hard to know as I want to get the most I can as I desperately need the money but dont want to put them off either!

I think that sounds reasonable.

When the nursery is closed due to holudays etc is the parent expecting to you have a space full time? If yes then I would charge you full day rate all the time and if not I would reduce it to £40 because you are still providing food

If you are the emergency contact while mindee is in nursery then I would charge normal day rate.
