Hello ,

Do you have to have a duplicating accident book eg a page for you and a copy for parents ? the NCMA one is like that but not sure if that is a must . Would just a normal accident book be ok ?

Cheers all :)

I photocopy pages when I've written them out - I've got a printer with a copier... you are supposed to give parents a copy :D

I have an ordinary non carbon book which I get the parents to sign if there are any accidents. This was OK with Ofsted at my last inspection and the one before that and the one before that.

I like the ncma one. It's all done for you, you just have to fill it in. But then I don't like to have to think too hard :D

I do the same as Avril, have made up my own, one for each child. Accidents on one side and existing injuries on the other, place for parents to sign .Ofsted were ok with it on my last visit.

I worked at an 'outstanding' nursery and they just got the children to sign at the end of the day. I think from memory that they had to change it at one stage to a page per child but they only created a page when a child had an accident same with medication book. so should be ok for us too. Although I do have NCMA book cause got it in my pack.
