Hi all,

I'm after some advice yet again,

I have a child starting with me next week and they have a severe milk allergy and the parent has asked that I administer a calcium supplement each day to the child.

Do I need to complete a medication form ? I'm just not sure as this is something you can buy over the counter and is not a drug as such.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Ash

Is there any reason why mum cannot do this in the morning and then again in the evening?

if not then yes it will need to be put in your book in case there is a reaction to the drops.

Sorry not what you wanted to hear I expect but better to be safe.

If you have to administer it then I would say yes you do (just to cover yourself and be on the safe side). I use NCMA and have their Accident, Incident and Medication Book and there is a section in there that would cover this. :)
