weekend charges

Hi all,

I am newly regiestered and havent yet got any mindees.

I have just been offered to mind two children aged 2 & 5 1030-430 but it is on sat & sundays, I am happy to work on weekends as long as it doesnt affect my children but have decided that I will give it a trial run. My question is what I should charge as I would prefer to only work week days but for the right amount without taking the p*** would do the weekend.

What is the going rate or what is acceptable do you think (I know that they can afford childcare)

i would charge double of wat you would charge during the week as its unsociable hours

I'm newly registered and haven't started yet but I'm planning to have two hourly rates. The first will be during normal childminding hours (8.00am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday) and the second will be anything outside of these hours including weekends if I decide to do them - at the moment I've decided on £2.00 an hour more than my normal rate. I will charge per half hour.
